Nightly Release Testing
PhotoStack needs your help! We’ve got a new version with a bunch of bugs fixed and a bunch of necessary feature added. If this one makes it through your tests, it will be labeled 3.0 stable. Some things you’ll get are EXIF Date extraction, and Ajax Sortable Images along with an assortment of other things.

FC2 Release
Happy New Year!
Final Candidate 2 is out, a late Christmas gift, if you will.

There are lots of fixes and a few new additions. mod_rewrite is now dealt with automatically (pending permissions) when you switch it on in the control panel. This is one feature I’d really like you to test. It is not supposed to overwrite any part of the .htaccess file, just append.
Also, there are slightly new install directions. You now have to move config.sample.php to config.php before the program will run.
Again, email noel [at] noeljackson [dot] com with bug reports. The bug tracker and official bug email address are going up soon.
Hopefully this one won’t have any major issues and I can get it out as a full release. Thanks for your help everyone!
FC1 Release
UPDATE: I totally forgot to re-enable caching for this release. If you want to turn it on (I’m going to make this a control panel option for fc2) edit index.php and uncomment the lines necessary ($ps->cache_start(); and $ps->cache_end();) Although it should work fine without caching on.
I’m in a rush, as I’m off to Australia in a few hours! But, I really wanted to post FC1 for everyone to download and test. It’s really quite a good release and I’m pretty darn sure all the issues people had are crushed. Remember to do a clean install and send ANY development related issues to noel [at] noeljackson [dot] com (sorry it isn’t a photostack address, but that’s on the way).

Mostly bug fixes, including control panel glitch and a lack of IM support for rotation. Everything else is working wonderfully. Please report any problems you have. This is going to be the “public” beta if all is good.

The control panel is now fully working, allowing you to edit your config file from the web interface. A bunch of tiny but relevant bugs are squashed (including all the bugs I came across in the comments).

This is now 386, forgot to commit the control panel page in, all is fixed. Re-download as you please.

It’s got quite a few bug fixes, mostly dealing with entity encoding issues. The organize interface is being perfected. I really urge you to test this release out.
Again, remember that these features are yet to be coded (but will be):

- exif date functions

This beta is the best and most stable of them all. Perhaps FC1?
Fixed some problems, added some features to the admin panel, fixed some more bugs, fixed rss, or from the changelog:
* added bluk and single image rotation
* fixed RSS problems in templates and mod_rewrite
* fixed problems when creating galleries with entities

I removed the .svn directories for those of you that hated me for it.
Check the release notes for specifics. However, let me say that this is a kickin’ release. We’ve got mult-file javasript enhanced uploads (from over here, additional template functions (that were missing), and a beautification in the default template, thanks to Brant Winter.
Also, make sure to check out “Lines” over at Blurg. Love the toons.

I’ve been pounding away - and I think that this is the one… or very very close to it. There is still a ton to do, but I think this beta should work just fine for everyone.

We are very close to a final candidate. Just a few more things to finish.
If you have SVN sk1llz, checkout version 372, it’s got the ability to rename folders (why this wasn’t in 362, I don’t know), and tons of fixes that make building templates easier. Checkitout.
