FC2 Release
Happy New Year!
Final Candidate 2 is out, a late Christmas gift, if you will.

There are lots of fixes and a few new additions. mod_rewrite is now dealt with automatically (pending permissions) when you switch it on in the control panel. This is one feature I’d really like you to test. It is not supposed to overwrite any part of the .htaccess file, just append.
Also, there are slightly new install directions. You now have to move config.sample.php to config.php before the program will run.
Again, email noel [at] noeljackson [dot] com with bug reports. The bug tracker and official bug email address are going up soon.
Hopefully this one won’t have any major issues and I can get it out as a full release. Thanks for your help everyone!

Are there any plans to wrap this up as a plugin for Wordpress so that the theme is easier to match up?

Close? Sort of, EXIF is still pending - going to release without it and plan for a quick follow up when it’s done.

Will localisation be back in the new release? It could easily double your downloads…
