So Close
We are very close to a final candidate. Just a few more things to finish.
If you have SVN sk1llz, checkout version 372, it’s got the ability to rename folders (why this wasn’t in 362, I don’t know), and tons of fixes that make building templates easier. Checkitout.
Thanks for your patience!

Working very nicely for me Noel. I have been planning on waiting for a full release before getting creative with the templates. Is it close enough now that I could get going with the knowledge that my own created templates would work with future releases?

hi .. just try on the demo, a small suggest is when the upload in progress maybe you should put on some wording on image to show that upload is running ..

Renaming a gallery does not rename the page title or link name on the stack.

My host is using safe_mode which causes an error when creating directories and I really want to use this new version, so I have modified the gallery creation code to use ftp instead and so far it is working just fine. I have not honed it compeletely but I will share it with anyone that would be interested. I used the code found here http://www.sgal.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=665 and modified it a little to work with my install.

Sounds good joe, maybe I’ll throw a switch in config.main.php and put that code in there - if you want to send me an SVN diff to noel [at] noeljackson [dot] com that would rock.
Adrian,
I would say ‘yes’ but give me till the next zip, okay?

Would you recommend installing this over the Beta 352? The only reason I ask is because I’ve done a lot of customization to the templates and don’t really want to lose it. Everything has been working perfectly for me so far, so I kinda don’t want to mess with it.
Any push either way would be awesome :)
Thanks!
Dave

David,
Doh! Um, well, I would have held off on the major template customization - however, only a few things changed, so it should technically all work… but, backup first.

Thanks for the replay Noel. I knew better than customizing beta software, but it started out as an experiment on my part to see if I coudl get it the way I wanted it to look, then I got carried away with it.
I was excited to finally find a simple gallery software that gave me the look and navigation I wanted.

Dave,
The only thing that really changed was the $index loop… check the new templates and the modification is only slight.
